Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination product containing four active ingredients—albendazole, iron, zinc, and vitamin A. Albendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic that disrupts the metabolism of helminths by inhibiting microtubule polymerization, leading to parasite death[2]. Iron is an essential mineral required for hemoglobin synthesis and prevention/treatment of iron deficiency anemia. Zinc is a trace element vital for immune function, growth, and cellular metabolism. Vitamin A (retinol) supports vision, immune function, and epithelial integrity. This combination may be used in public health or clinical settings to address coexisting parasitic infections (via albendazole), micronutrient deficiencies (iron/zinc/vitamin A), anemia prevention/treatment, and support child growth/development in populations at risk[1][5][7].
