Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination antiparasitic therapy consisting of albendazole and praziquantel. This combination leverages the complementary mechanisms of both drugs to achieve improved efficacy against various parasitic infections, particularly neurocysticercosis and hydatidosis (echinococcosis). Studies have shown that this combination is more effective in destroying viable brain cysts in neurocysticercosis than albendazole alone.
