A three-year double-blind clinical study demonstrated that this combination extract was effective, reducing symptom scores to one-tenth of the initial level and increasing pollen tolerance by thirty-fold. The mechanism involves modulating the immune response from a Th2-driven allergic reaction towards a tolerant state, characterized by the induction of regulatory T cells (Tregs) and a shift in antibody production from IgE to blocking antibodies like IgG4.
