ALECSAT + temozolomide is a combination therapy consisting of Autologous Lymphoid Effector Cells Specific Against Tumor (ALECSAT), an immune cell therapy, and temozolomide, a chemotherapy drug. This combination is being investigated primarily for the treatment of glioblastoma, a type of malignant brain tumor. ALECSAT works by enhancing the patient's immune response against cancer cells through immunologic cytotoxicity, while temozolomide damages the DNA of cancer cells, preventing them from dividing.
