Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of alectinib, an ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and nivolumab, a PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor. Alectinib targets the ALK fusion protein in ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), inhibiting ALK phosphorylation and downstream signaling. Nivolumab is a human IgG4 monoclonal antibody that blocks the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands (PD-L1 and PD-L2), enhancing T-cell immune response against tumor cells. This combination aims to simultaneously target cancer cells through ALK inhibition and enhance immune system recognition of cancer cells.
