Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Allocetra-OTS + nivolumab is an investigational **combination therapy** comprising Allocetra-OTS, a cell-based immunotherapy, and nivolumab, an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody immune checkpoint inhibitor. **Allocetra-OTS** consists of non-HLA matched apoptotic mononuclear cells derived from healthy human donors, designed to restore macrophage homeostasis and modify the tumor microenvironment. **Nivolumab** blocks the programmed death-1 (PD-1) pathway, enhancing T-cell mediated anti-tumor responses. This combination is under phase 1/2a clinical investigation for advanced solid tumors, aiming to harness synergistic immunomodulation for increased anti-tumor effect, with preclinical data showing promising survival advantages in tumor models. Allocetra-OTS is developed by Enlivex, while nivolumab is developed and manufactured by Bristol Myers Squibb.
