Allogeneic bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) is a cell therapy program developed by LifeStem for the treatment of hemophilia. This regenerative medicine approach utilizes donor-derived MSCs, which are multipotent stromal cells characterized by their ability to differentiate into various cell types and their potent immunomodulatory properties. In the treatment of hemophilia, these allogeneic cells are investigated for their potential to provide therapeutic benefits through the secretion of paracrine factors and modulation of the immune system, which may help in managing the disease or its complications. The therapy was primarily evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial (NCT02108132) to assess its safety and efficacy in patients with hemophilia.
