Overview

This investigational cell therapy, developed by Universitas Indonesia in collaboration with PT. Prodia Stem Cell Indonesia, consists of allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from bone marrow, umbilical cord, or adipose tissue. The therapy is designed to treat non-union fractures and long bone defects by providing osteogenic cells that differentiate into bone-forming cells (osteoblasts). The MSCs are administered locally at the site of the bone defect in combination with a hydroxyapatite-calcium sulfate (HA-CaSO4) scaffold, which serves as a carrier and structural support. The treatment aims to promote bone regeneration and healing in cases where standard repair processes have failed. The therapy is being evaluated for both direct implantation and cryopreserved applications.
