Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**AlloVax** is an investigational personalized therapeutic cancer vaccine developed from a patient-specific autologous tumor-derived chaperone-rich cell lysate, known as CRCL, administered with the allogeneic immune-cell product AlloStim as an immunologic adjuvant. The regimen is intended to promote uptake of tumor antigens and danger signals by dendritic cells, enhance IL-12-associated T-helper-1 immune activation, and induce tumor-directed cellular immune responses. It has been evaluated in Phase 2 studies in advanced or refractory hepatocellular carcinoma and recurrent or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
