Alprazolam + hexarelin is a combination of two pharmacologically active compounds. Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine that acts as an agonist at the gamma-aminobutyric acid type A (GABA-A) receptor, producing anxiolytic, sedative, and muscle relaxant effects. Hexarelin is a synthetic growth hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP) that stimulates growth hormone (GH) release by acting on specific receptors in the pituitary and hypothalamus. Hexarelin also has acute adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortisol-releasing activity similar to corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH). When administered together, alprazolam abolishes the ACTH- and cortisol-releasing effects of hexarelin and blunts its GH-releasing activity, likely through GABAergic mechanisms[1][2][3][7]. This combination has been studied experimentally to investigate neuroendocrine regulation but does not have established therapeutic use.
