Alprazolam + valproate is a combination of two pharmaceutical drugs, each with distinct mechanisms of action. Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine that acts as a central nervous system depressant by binding to γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) type-A receptors in the brain, enhancing their inhibitory effect on neurotransmission.
