The combination "ALXN2050 + rifampin" refers to the concomitant administration of ALXN2050 and rifampin, which may be studied for drug-drug interactions or to assess the effect of rifampin (a known inducer of drug-metabolizing enzymes) on the pharmacokinetics of ALXN2050. Rifampin itself is an approved antibiotic used primarily for tuberculosis and acts as a strong inducer of cytochrome P450 enzymes, affecting the metabolism of many drugs.
