Overview

Citchem X is an oral combination syrup developed by Ultrachem Pharmaceuticals for the management of productive coughs and symptoms associated with various broncho-pulmonary disorders, including acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and bronchiectasis. The formulation contains four active ingredients: ambroxol (a mucolytic agent that thins and breaks down mucus), guaifenesin (an expectorant that increases the volume and reduces the viscosity of respiratory tract secretions), terbutaline (a selective beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist that acts as a bronchodilator to relax airway smooth muscle), and menthol (which provides a cooling sensation and relieves throat irritation). Together, these components work synergistically to facilitate mucus clearance, ease breathing, and soothe throat discomfort.
