Overview

Vocuff-AM is a combination cough syrup marketed by Skyways Healthcare, primarily used for the relief of productive cough associated with bronchospasm in conditions such as bronchitis and bronchial asthma. It contains four active ingredients: ambroxol, a mucolytic agent that thins and loosens mucus; terbutaline, a beta-2 adrenergic agonist that acts as a bronchodilator to relax airway muscles; guaifenesin, an expectorant that increases the volume and reduces the viscosity of secretions in the trachea and bronchi; and menthol, which provides a cooling sensation and mild local anesthetic effect to soothe throat irritation. As a branded generic product sold through the PCD (Propaganda Cum Distribution) franchise model in India, it is an established formulation rather than a novel clinical candidate.
