Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ameno is a therapeutic program developed by Gameto that aims to address the medical and physiological burdens of menopause. The program utilizes Gameto's proprietary cell engineering platform to create human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived ovarian support cells (hiPSC-OSCs). These engineered cells are designed to replicate the endocrine and regulatory functions of natural ovarian tissue, which typically cease during menopause. By restoring the production of essential ovarian hormones and maintaining the ovarian environment, Ameno seeks to provide a biological solution to the systemic health risks associated with menopause, such as bone density loss and cardiovascular issues, effectively aiming to make the transition into menopause optional.
