amiloride + enalapril

Amiloride + enalapril is a combination of two antihypertensive agents used together to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and, in some cases, heart failure. Amiloride is a potassium-sparing diuretic that acts on the distal renal tubules to inhibit sodium reabsorption while reducing potassium excretion. Enalapril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor prodrug that blocks the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation and reduced aldosterone-mediated sodium retention.
