amitriptyline + haloperidol

Amitriptyline + haloperidol is a combination of two pharmaceutical drugs, amitriptyline and haloperidol. Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, increasing their synaptic concentrations in the central nervous system. It also has anticholinergic and sedative properties. Haloperidol is a first-generation (typical) antipsychotic that primarily acts as an antagonist at dopamine D2 receptors, reducing dopaminergic neurotransmission in the brain.
