Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AJU-C52L is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) therapy developed by AJU PHARM Co., Ltd. for the treatment of hypertension. It consists of three antihypertensive agents with complementary mechanisms of action: amlodipine, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker; chlorthalidone, a thiazide-like diuretic; and valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). By targeting blood pressure through multiple pathways—vasodilation, reduction of extracellular fluid volume, and inhibition of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS)—this triple combination aims to provide superior blood pressure control compared to monotherapy or dual therapy. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to establish bioequivalence and safety compared to the co-administration of its individual components.
