amlodipine + indapamide (Servier)

Arifam is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) small molecule antihypertensive drug developed by Servier, primarily marketed in Russia. It combines two active ingredients: amlodipine, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits L-type voltage-gated calcium channels, and indapamide, a thiazide-like diuretic that targets renal sodium reabsorption via the sodium/chloride cotransporter. This combination is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension, particularly in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy or who require both agents. The efficacy and safety of Arifam were demonstrated in the ARBALET observational study, which focused on outpatients over 55 years of age with uncontrolled grade I or II hypertension.
