Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Amlodipine + losartan is a combination medication used to treat hypertension. It combines a calcium channel blocker (amlodipine) and an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (losartan). Amlodipine works by dilating blood vessels, while losartan blocks the effects of angiotensin II, a hormone that increases blood pressure. Together, they effectively lower blood pressure by relaxing and widening blood vessels.
