Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A triple therapy combination used for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, which causes gastric and duodenal ulcers. This regimen combines omeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production) with two antibiotics: amoxicillin (a penicillin-class antibiotic) and azithromycin (a macrolide antibiotic). Clinical studies have shown this combination to be highly effective in eradicating H. pylori, with eradication rates of approximately 91.6% when administered as a two-week course.
