Overview

AMP-110 is a fully synthetic and highly purified human adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) analog, also referred to as a corticotropin analog. Developed by Amphastar Pharmaceuticals through an exclusive license from Nanjing Hanxin Pharmaceutical Technology, it is designed to treat inflammatory and autoimmune conditions such as acute exacerbations of multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis, and various ophthalmic inflammatory conditions. The peptide possesses 97% sequence homology to endogenous human ACTH and functions as an agonist at ACTH and melanocortin (MC) receptors. By targeting these receptors, AMP-110 aims to modulate the immune response with a potentially improved safety profile compared to porcine-derived ACTH products. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
