Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination antibiotic regimen consisting of ampicillin (a beta-lactam antibiotic), cefotaxime (a third-generation cephalosporin), and gentamicin (an aminoglycoside). This triple combination provides broad-spectrum coverage against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing organisms. It is primarily used for treating serious bacterial infections in neonates and children, particularly in cases of suspected resistant pathogens or Gram-negative meningitis.
