Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anaprazole + rabeprazole is a hypothetical combination of **two proton pump inhibitors (PPIs)**: anaprazole, a novel PPI investigated for peptic ulcer disease, and rabeprazole, a widely used and FDA-approved PPI for various acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. Both drugs act to decrease gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the gastric H^+/K^+-ATPase in the parietal cells of the stomach. Anaprazole has demonstrated non-inferiority to rabeprazole for the healing of duodenal ulcers in clinical studies[5]. Rabeprazole is used to treat peptic ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and conditions of excessive stomach acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. There is no evidence from the search results or the current medical literature that anaprazole and rabeprazole are co-formulated or co-administered as a fixed combination product in clinical practice.
