Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anastrozole + AZD4547 is a combination therapy investigated for the treatment of estrogen receptor positive (ER+) breast cancer. AZD4547 is a potent and selective inhibitor of Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor (FGFR)-1, 2, and 3 receptor tyrosine kinases that was studied in combination with the aromatase inhibitor anastrozole. This combination was specifically designed to address endocrine resistance in patients who had progressed on aromatase inhibitor therapy. The RADICAL trial investigated this combination in patients with ER+ metastatic breast cancer who had become resistant to aromatase inhibitors.
