Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anastrozole + ribociclib is a combination therapy used to treat hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative breast cancer. Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor that blocks estrogen production, while ribociclib is a CDK4/6 inhibitor that slows cancer cell growth by blocking proteins that promote cell division. This combination provides dual targeting of estrogen-dependent breast cancer growth mechanisms.
