A combination regimen consisting of **andecaliximab**, **carboplatin**, and **pemetrexed**. - **Andecaliximab** is a recombinant chimeric IgG4 monoclonal antibody that selectively inhibits matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9), a protease involved in extracellular matrix remodeling, tumor invasion, angiogenesis, and metastasis. By blocking MMP9, andecaliximab aims to suppress tumor growth and progression, and may enhance the cytotoxic effect of chemotherapy[1][2][3][4]. - **Carboplatin** is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that causes DNA cross-linking and apoptosis (cell death) in rapidly dividing cells. - **Pemetrexed** is a multi-targeted antifolate chemotherapy, inhibiting enzymes involved in folate metabolism and DNA synthesis. This combination is investigated primarily in oncology, notably for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and possibly other solid tumors.
