This combination regimen is a four-drug therapy being evaluated as a first-line treatment for extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). It consists of anlotinib, an oral multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that targets VEGFR, FGFR, PDGFR, and c-Kit; durvalumab (Imfinzi), a monoclonal antibody that blocks the PD-L1/PD-1 pathway to enhance anti-tumor immune responses; and standard chemotherapy comprising a platinum agent (cisplatin or carboplatin) and etoposide, a topoisomerase II inhibitor. The regimen is currently being studied in a Phase II clinical trial at Henan Cancer Hospital to leverage the synergistic effects of anti-angiogenesis, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy in improving outcomes for patients with aggressive ES-SCLC.
