This is an investigational combination chemotherapy and targeted therapy regimen being evaluated for the second-line treatment of extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). The regimen consists of anlotinib hydrochloride, a multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR), fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR), platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), and c-Kit; irinotecan, a topoisomerase I inhibitor; and docetaxel, a taxane that stabilizes microtubules. This specific combination is being studied in a Phase 2 clinical trial (NCT04757779) sponsored by the First People's Hospital of Hangzhou for patients who have relapsed after first-line platinum-based chemotherapy. In the trial, anlotinib is administered orally, while irinotecan or docetaxel are administered intravenously as separate treatment arms.
