Overview

Anti-BCMA + anti-CD19 CAR-T cells are a dual-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed for the treatment of plasma cell malignancies, including multiple myeloma and plasma cell leukemia. By simultaneously targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), which is highly expressed on malignant plasma cells, and CD19, which is expressed on B-cell lineage cells and potentially on myeloma stem cells, this therapy aims to provide a more comprehensive anti-tumor response and reduce the likelihood of relapse through antigen escape. The Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University has initiated clinical trials (e.g., ChiCTR2000033567) to evaluate the safety and efficacy of this dual-target construct in patients with refractory or recurrent plasma cell tumors and related lymphoid diseases.
