Overview

This investigational cell therapy, developed by the Shenzhen Geno-Immune Medical Institute (GIMI), is a dual-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell product designed for the treatment of high-risk multiple myeloma and plasmacytoma. The therapy utilizes GIMI's 4SCAR2.0 platform to simultaneously or sequentially target two key myeloma-associated antigens: B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and G protein-coupled receptor, class C, group 5, member D (GPRC5D). By targeting two distinct antigens, the therapy aims to overcome the challenge of antigen escape-mediated relapse, which is a common limitation of single-target CAR-T therapies. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials as a frontline treatment approach to improve deep and durable responses in patients with high-risk disease profiles.
