Overview

Anti-CD19 CAR T-cells (KKH) is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by KK Women's and Children's Hospital for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-lineage malignancies, including B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and large B-cell lymphoma. The therapy involves the lentiviral transduction of a patient's T-cells to express a CAR targeting the CD19 antigen, utilizing a 4-1BB (CD137) costimulatory domain to enhance T-cell persistence and anti-tumor activity. A distinguishing feature of this program is its point-of-care manufacturing model, which aims to produce the cells locally at the clinical site to reduce vein-to-vein time and improve feasibility for pediatric and adult patients.
