Overview

Anti-CD19 CAR-T cells (Shanghai First Song Biotechnology) is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CD19 antigen. Developed by Shanghai First Song Biotechnology Co., LTD, this therapy is designed to treat relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies, including B-cell lymphoma and leukemia. The treatment process involves collecting a patient's peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), which are then genetically engineered to express a CAR specific for CD19, a protein widely expressed on the surface of B-cell lineage cells. Following lymphodepleting chemotherapy (typically with fludarabine and cyclophosphamide), the engineered cells are re-infused into the patient. Once infused, the CAR-T cells recognize and eliminate CD19-expressing malignant B cells through direct cell-mediated cytotoxicity and the release of inflammatory cytokines.
