Overview

Anti-CD19 Interleukin-10 + Interleukin-15 Chimeric Antigen Receptor Natural Killer (CAR-NK) Cells is an investigational cell-based biologic therapy. It consists of cord blood-derived natural killer (NK) cells that have been genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the B-lymphocyte antigen CD19. Additionally, the cells are modified to co-express the cytokines interleukin-10 (IL-10) and interleukin-15 (IL-15). This design aims to utilize IL-15 to enhance the persistence and cytotoxic function of the NK cells, while IL-10 is intended to modulate the inflammatory environment. The therapy is primarily being developed to deplete pathogenic B cells in patients with refractory or relapsed autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus and systemic sclerosis.
