Overview

Anti-COVID-19 Immune Globulin (Human) is a 20% solution of human immune globulin, purified from the plasma of convalescent donors who have recovered from COVID-19. Developed by Grifols Therapeutics LLC, this biologic contains high titers of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. Its primary mechanism of action involves providing passive immunity by neutralizing the SARS-CoV-2 virus, thereby preventing viral entry into host cells. Additionally, it may exert immunomodulatory effects to mitigate inflammation associated with COVID-19. It was investigated for its efficacy in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 in asymptomatic outpatients infected with SARS-CoV-2.
