anti-CTLA-4 + anti-PD-1 + DC-T cells is an investigational combination immunotherapy regimen developed by the Army Medical Center of the PLA for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. This therapeutic approach combines autologous Dendritic Cell-activated T cells (DC-T cells) with dual immune checkpoint inhibition using monoclonal antibodies against Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) and Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte Associated Protein 4 (CTLA-4). The DC-T cells are generated by co-culturing a patient's T cells with their own dendritic cells to enhance tumor-specific activation. The addition of anti-PD-1 and anti-CTLA-4 antibodies is intended to synergistically prevent T-cell exhaustion and overcome the immunosuppressive mechanisms employed by tumors, thereby promoting a more effective and sustained anti-tumor immune response. This triple combination is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess safety and preliminary efficacy in patients with various solid malignancies.
