Anti-IL-10R1 mAb refers to a monoclonal antibody designed to bind and neutralize the alpha subunit of the Interleukin-10 receptor (IL-10R1). Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is a potent anti-inflammatory cytokine that typically suppresses T-helper type 1 (Th1) immune responses and interferon-gamma production, thereby facilitating an immunosuppressive environment. By blocking the IL-10R1 receptor, these antibodies prevent IL-10-mediated signaling, which can enhance pro-inflammatory and anti-tumor immunity. In preclinical research, such as murine orthotopic bladder cancer models, anti-IL-10R1 antibodies have been studied in combination with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) to improve therapeutic efficacy, promote systemic anti-tumor immunity, and prevent metastasis by shifting the immune profile toward a Th1 response.
