Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of an anti-LAG-3 monoclonal antibody, pomalidomide, and dexamethasone. Anti-LAG-3 antibodies are immune checkpoint inhibitors that block the Lymphocyte Activation Gene-3 (LAG-3) receptor on T cells. By inhibiting LAG-3, these antibodies restore T cell function and enhance the immune system's ability to attack tumor cells[1][2][5]. Pomalidomide is an immunomodulatory small molecule that enhances T-cell and natural killer (NK) cell-mediated immunity and inhibits angiogenesis. Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. This combination may be investigated for use in hematologic malignancies such as multiple myeloma or other cancers where immune modulation is beneficial.
