Drug intelligence / Profile preview
anti-MESO CAR-T cells (Shanghai 6th People's Hospital) is an investigational fourth-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting mesothelin (MSLN). Developed by Shanghai 6th People's Hospital, this autologous cell therapy is designed for the treatment of refractory or relapsed ovarian cancer. The therapy utilizes patient-derived T cells genetically engineered to express a CAR that recognizes mesothelin, a glycoprotein highly expressed on the surface of ovarian cancer cells. As a fourth-generation CAR-T, it is designed to enhance anti-tumor activity, potentially through the localized secretion of anti-PD-1 antibodies to mitigate immune suppression within the tumor microenvironment. It is currently being evaluated in an Early Phase 1 clinical study to assess its safety, feasibility, and preliminary therapeutic potential in patients who have failed multiple prior lines of therapy.
