Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti-MUC1* C2 ADC is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) in preclinical development by Minerva Biotechnologies for the treatment of MUC1*-positive solid tumors. The therapeutic utilizes the huMNC2 (C2) monoclonal antibody to specifically target MUC1*, a tumor-associated, truncated form of the MUC1 protein that functions as a growth factor receptor. MUC1* is expressed on the majority of solid tumors (approximately 75-80%) but is absent from normal epithelial tissues, providing a high degree of tumor selectivity. The ADC is designed to carry a radiolabeled or toxic payload that is internalized upon binding to the target, releasing the cytotoxic agent to induce selective cell death. Minerva is currently seeking partners with ADC technology platforms to further develop and commercialize this candidate.
