Drug intelligence / Profile preview
anti-TNF + vedolizumab + ustekinumab is an experimental triple biologic combination therapy investigated for the treatment of refractory inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. This regimen combines an anti-tumor necrosis factor (anti-TNF) agent (such as infliximab, adalimumab, or certolizumab pegol) with vedolizumab (an anti-integrin monoclonal antibody) and ustekinumab (an anti-IL-12/IL-23 monoclonal antibody). By targeting three distinct inflammatory pathways—TNF-alpha, alpha-4-beta-7 integrin, and the p40 subunit of IL-12/IL-23—this triple therapy aims to overcome the therapeutic limitations of monotherapy or dual-targeted therapy in patients with highly refractory disease or overlapping immune-mediated inflammatory conditions.
