Overview

A combination immunosuppressive therapy consisting of antithymocyte globulin (ATG) and methylprednisolone (MP). This regimen is primarily used for treating severe aplastic anemia and for preventing or treating graft-versus-host disease in transplant patients. The addition of methylprednisolone to ATG reduces side effects typically seen with ATG monotherapy while enhancing its beneficial immunosuppressive effects.
