ANX005 + intravenous immunoglobulin

ANX005 + intravenous immunoglobulin is an investigational combination therapy consisting of **ANX005**, a humanized immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) recombinant monoclonal antibody targeting complement protein C1q, and **intravenous immunoglobulin** (IVIg), a pooled antibody preparation from healthy donors. ANX005 inhibits the initiation of the classical complement cascade, thereby reducing immune-mediated nerve damage, while IVIg is thought to modulate the immune response through various mechanisms, including neutralization of pathogenic autoantibodies and regulation of complement activation. This combination is under clinical investigation for **Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS)**, a rare, acute autoimmune neuropathy. The combination aims to leverage complement inhibition alongside the established benefits of IVIg in GBS. ANX005 is developed by Annexon.
