Apatinib is an oral small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that selectively targets and inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR-2), thereby blocking tumor angiogenesis. MASCT (Multiple Antigens Specific Cellular Therapy) is a personalized cellular immunotherapy involving dendritic cells loaded with multiple tumor-associated antigens and activated cytotoxic T lymphocytes. The combination of apatinib and MASCT is being investigated for its potential synergistic effects in treating advanced solid tumors, where apatinib may normalize tumor vasculature and enhance the infiltration and activity of the MASCT-derived immune cells. This specific regimen was evaluated in a Phase I/IIa study at The First People's Hospital of Lianyungang.
