Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Apatinib + vinorelbine is a combination therapy consisting of apatinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR-2), and vinorelbine, a semisynthetic vinca alkaloid. Apatinib works by blocking angiogenesis through VEGFR-2 inhibition, while vinorelbine primarily inhibits metaphase mitosis of cancer cells through its interactions with tubulin. This combination has shown efficacy in treating HER2-negative breast cancer and non-driver gene mutation advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in patients who have failed previous treatment regimens.
