APDC + mFOLFOX6 is a combination chemo-immunotherapy regimen being developed by the Second Military Medical University for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer. The regimen consists of an autologous tumor lysate-pulsed dendritic cell (APDC) vaccine and the modified FOLFOX6 (mFOLFOX6) chemotherapy regimen, which includes oxaliplatin, 5-fluorouracil, and leucovorin. The APDC vaccine is designed to stimulate a specific anti-tumor immune response by presenting autologous tumor antigens to the patient's T-cells. The mFOLFOX6 component provides direct cytotoxic effects by inhibiting DNA synthesis and inducing DNA damage, while potentially enhancing the immunogenicity of the tumor cells. This combination is currently being evaluated in Phase III clinical trials to determine its efficacy and safety compared to chemotherapy alone.
