Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**ARB-1467** is an intravenously administered lipid nanoparticle RNA interference therapeutic originally developed as TKM-HBV for chronic hepatitis B. It contains three synthetic double-stranded small interfering RNA triggers directed at three conserved sites in the hepatitis B virus genome, designed to silence all four HBV transcripts and thereby reduce viral protein production, including hepatitis B surface antigen, and inhibit viral replication. Tekmira renamed the candidate ARB-1467 after its successor organization became Arbutus Biopharma; the program reached Phase 2a but was subsequently discontinued.
