Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Arexvy + high-dose quadrivalent influenza vaccine refers to the co-administration regimen of GSK's RSVPreF3 OA (Arexvy) and a high-dose quadrivalent influenza vaccine (FLU-QIV-HD). Arexvy is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine containing the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) prefusion F protein stabilized in its prefusion conformation and adjuvanted with the AS01E system, which consists of QS-21 and monophosphoryl lipid A. The high-dose influenza vaccine contains four times the hemagglutinin antigen of standard-dose vaccines to enhance the immune response in older adults. This co-administration is primarily evaluated in adults aged 65 years and older to demonstrate that simultaneous vaccination provides non-inferior immunogenicity and acceptable safety compared to separate administration, facilitating seasonal immunization programs for respiratory pathogens.
