ArgLong2 + PD-L1Long1 is a dual peptide-based therapeutic vaccine developed by Inge Marie Svane and the National Center for Cancer Immune Therapy (CCIT-DK) for the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), including polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocythemia (ET). The vaccine consists of two long peptides: ArgLong2, a 38-amino acid sequence derived from Arginase-1 (ARG1), and PD-L1Long1, derived from Programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 (PD-L1). These peptides are administered with the adjuvant Montanide ISA-51 to stimulate a specific T-cell response against immunosuppressive cells within the bone marrow microenvironment that overexpress ARG1 and PD-L1. By targeting these proteins, the vaccine aims to alleviate immune suppression and achieve clinical and molecular responses in patients with MPN.
