ART101 (Arnatar Therapeutics)

ART101 is an investigational RNA silencing therapeutic, developed by Arnatar Therapeutics, Inc., designed for the treatment of hypertension, particularly in patients with uncontrolled high blood pressure. As an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) or siRNA-based therapy, ART101 targets angiotensinogen (AGT), the sole precursor of all angiotensin peptides in the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS). By inhibiting the hepatic production of AGT, the drug aims to provide sustained blood pressure reduction through infrequent subcutaneous administration. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacodynamic profile in hypertensive adults who have not achieved adequate control with conventional therapies.
